Dr. Carl M. Embury

Dr. Carl M. Embury grew up an hour east of Buffalo in Perry, NY. He attended Alfred University where he played basketball and obtained his bachelor's degree in 2009. After graduating, Dr. Embury went to SUNY Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2013. While a student, Dr. Embury was awarded the "Dr. Earle J. Kelsey Scholarship," chosen by his peers as having "good moral character, good personal attributes, interest in the career chosen, consideration of others, ambition, previous involvement in the community and school and good academic standing." Completing his general practice residency in Syracuse at SUNY Upstate Hospital in 2014, Dr. Embury practiced briefly in Richmond, VA before moving back to the Buffalo area where he has been living and practicing ever since.

Professionally, Dr. Embury is heavily involved in the local and state dental societies and associations. He served as a delegate in the 2017 Annual House of Delegates meeting for the New York State Dental Association for the Eighth District (Buffalo), is a chairman for the Buffalo Niagara Dental meeting as part of the UB Dental Alumni Association Executive Council where he will serve as President-Elect starting in 2018. Also a member of the Erie County Dental Society, Dr. Embury currently serves as New Dentist Committee Chair and is on the New Dentist Committee of the Eighth District Dental Society as well.

Dr. Embury's hobbies include golfing, skiing, basketball, American history, reading, movies, and spending time with his friends and family. He currently lives in Orchard Park with his wife Caitlin, daughter, Evelyn, and high maintenance Goldendoodle, Betty.
