Professionally Dr. Marchetta has served on councils of the Eighth District Dental Society since 1982. He is a member in good standing of the American Dental Association, the NY State Dental Association, Erie County Dental Society, Eighth District Dental Society and UB Dental Alumni Association. He was a Clinical Instructor at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine from 1982 to 1999. He has served on the Board of the UB Dental Alumni Association since 1990, acting as President in 1995. He was honored by being inducted as a Fellow into the American College of Dentists (F.A.C.D) in 1997.
Dr. Marchetta has been co-chairman of the Buffalo Niagara Dental Meeting since 1991. He along with the other chairman have helped expand the meeting to be one of the top fifteen Dental Meetings in the Country. He has been on the executive council of the Eighth District Dental Society since 1985. He has served as chairman to a number of committees such as: Hospital Dentistry, Informatics, Peer Review(for Erie County). In 2006 Dr. Marchetta was President of the Erie County Dental Society. Previously, he had served as Secretary and Vice President of the Erie County Dental Society.
He currently is a member in good standing with the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Society, the Eighth District Dental Society and the Erie County Dental Society. He is a Member in good standing of the Notre Dame Alumni, UB Dental Alumni, and the American College of Dentists.
Dr. Marchetta resides in East Aurora with his wife Janet and three children, Charles, Jonathan, and Christine.
